Follow MeI read everywhere people make a lot of money in Twitter. I understand how can be made money in sites as Bebo, Myspace, … but in Twitter? I think it must be very difficult but not impossible.

It is true that a lot of my traffic comes from Twitter. I have set it through Twitterfeed so every post I write here is published on Twitter. It is so high the volume of traffic that whenever I build a new blog I add that feed to Twitterfeed. Of course, I have several Twitter accounts and I post feeds depending on their niche. The negative side is that Twitterfeed converts the links to tinyurl, so they are not valid as backlinks.

Right now I have 371 followers. In my case, the niche is very general because I haven’t focus enough. But imagine, if you get hundreds of followers who are interested in what you tweet, you will have a huge targeted traffic. So let’s see how can you make a nice group of followers:

Method 1:

  1. Get something to share: a ebook, a software,… something people might be interested in.
  2. Tell them if they follow you on Twitter you will share with them.
  3. Once they have follow you, they receive the freebie.

Easy, isn’t it? You can manage this with Twiveaway. This service is free and you can create several campaigns. You can also ask people to tweet the message you want with your URL. So your service could be viral…

Method 2:

  1. Publish 10 tweets in your account if this is new.
  2. Go to Twellow and search in the niche you are interested in, one the people with more followers.
  3. Download TwitterBlaster and open the profile of the person you chose in the last step. Go to see his followers.
  4. In the tab Gather ID, be sure you have selected Gather ID from all pages and gather 200-250 of his followers.
  5. Now import them to the Autofollowing tab and after clicking on start it will add all of them as your friends.

A lot of them will follow you. You simply repeat these steps but don’t over do it, because Twitter can ban your account. When you have 2000 friends you have to delete those who aren’t following you so you can add more. When you have more than 2000 followers you will be able to add more friends than 2000. You can remove people who don’t follow you with Twitter Karma.

And what do I do with all that followers?

Don’t try to sell them your stuff directly. I suppose the best is trying to be an authority so your tweets have more value for your followers. Until them you can join twtAd that is a service as Adsense but in Twitter. You can receive money for each click on your links. Take a look at twtAd and test it.

You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.
